Neil Oberg took this photo early on Thursday morning. From behind Indigo Sky he photographed the fox in the planter box in front of the Habitat ReStore. It is that time of year again when the creatures venture out looking for food.
The Division of Wildlife has recently publicized that it is illegal to feed wild animals. While the foxes are “cute,” they can be dangerous, especially if cornered. It is best to use the same guidelines applied in State and Federal parklands, keep all food secure and away from animals.
There is a swamp right across the street from there. I had seen families of foxes on my way home from work on 2nd shift crossing the road. Plus the rabbits that hang around the old Agripro plant for the wheat seeds.
