Mrs. Margaret Ruth (Sterkel) Ibsen, 92, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010. Born in Berthoud, Colorado on February 27, 1918, she was a self-taught seamstress. In her later years, she enjoyed working as a nanny. Upon the death of a younger sister, she became guardian of two nephews and a niece.
She is survived by her brother Samuel Sterkel (Dorothy) of Loveland, son, Robert Martin of Loveland, grandchildren, Pam, Steve, Rebekah, Deborah, Samuel, and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home & Crematory in Loveland. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud.
