Marie Andrade Allison receives DAR Good Citizen award
Marie Elise Andrade Allison was selected as Berthoud High School’s recipient of Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award for 2011. The Namaqua Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) presented awards to several area students at its February 9 Student Recognition Tea. Berthoud’s own Marie Andrade Allison has begun her year as the 2010 Boulder County Fair and Rodeo’s Lady- in-Waiting in earnest this week at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo. Crowned this past September, Marie will serve one year as the Lady in Waiting, followed by a year as the 2011 Boulder County Fair and Rodeo Queen.
